PhotoMatch · Last updated: August 22, 2026

PhotoMatch operates photo booths in bars and venues. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and how you can delete it. Please read the biometric section carefully — it describes processing that requires your explicit consent.

The short version. We photograph your face at the booth. Software analyzes facial features in those photos to generate your match. Your photos are then shown publicly inside the app, in the gallery for that venue and night. You can delete your account and all of your data at any time, permanently, from within the app.

Biometric information

When you use a PhotoMatch booth, we take photographs of you. Automated software then:

Depending on where you live, this analysis may constitute the processing of biometric identifiers or biometric information. We ask for your explicit, informed consent at the booth before any photo is taken. You may decline; if you decline, you cannot use the booth.

The internal value produced by this analysis is never displayed to you or to any other user, and is never sold, licensed, traded, or otherwise disclosed for profit. We retain it only for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account deletes it.

Photographs and public visibility

This is important and we want to be direct about it: your booth photos are not private. After your session, they appear in the app's gallery for that venue and that night, where they are visible to any PhotoMatch user. They may also be reshared by the venue where they were taken, including on the venue's social media.

Do not use the booth if you do not want your photograph to be seen publicly.

Information we collect

We do not collect GPS or device location. The "location" shown in the app is the name of the venue, entered by the operator — it is plain text, not a coordinate, and we do not track where you are.

How we use it

To generate your match for the night, to display your photos in the venue gallery and on your profile, to let you message a match, and to operate and improve the service. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run PhotoMatch: cloud image hosting, database hosting, and an AI model provider for the facial analysis and matching described above. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Other users see: your photos, first name or username, star sign, bio, and any comments you post. Your email address, exact age, height, and internal scores are never shown to other users.

How long we keep it

We retain your data while your account is active. If you take photos at a booth without creating an account, those photos remain associated with that session. To have them removed, contact us using the details below with the date and venue.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, photographs, biometric analysis values, matches, messages, likes, follows, and comments. It cannot be undone.

You may also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we have collected and the right to appeal a refused request.

Security

Passwords are stored using salted PBKDF2 hashing. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held with reputable cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Age requirement

PhotoMatch is for people aged 21 and over, and is operated in venues that verify age at entry. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a minor has used PhotoMatch, contact us immediately.

Meeting people

PhotoMatch is entertainment. We do not conduct background checks on users. We do not verify that anyone is who they claim to be. Use your judgment, meet in public, and tell someone where you are going.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and, where required, ask for your consent again.
